Resumen: I use the tripod to video church services from the balcony. And I need to zoom in to get good quality video. This tripod is excellent at keeping the video steady and smooth. I use a lanc control, and the tripod handle is easy to adjust at any angle.
A favor: Easy To Use, Good Interface With Camcorder, Improves Performance, Quality Construction
Resumen: Bought two for use with Sony Z1u's. The pan handle is way to short which makes smooth pans and tilts hard to control since you have very limited leverage. The zoom control on the handle is backwards from what you would expect, you pull the lever back to zoom in and push the lever in to go wide. Plus the lever is very small and gives no smooth control over a zoom.
A favor: Compact, Easily Adjusted, Lightweight, Locks In Tight
Contras: Difficult To Adjust, Flimsy, To short of pan handle, Unstable
Resumen: We use this tripod for a variety of shoots from small green screen studio shoots to full stage 3 camera shoots and it works well. Could be a little taller! O.K. for the stage shots because those are done on platforms but in the small studio, where platforms are too big to use, the camera sits at about +/- 5'6" fine for seated talent but hard to get a good eye level for taller standing talent.
A favor: Carry Case, Easily Adjusted, Lightweight, Locks In Tight, Smooth Movement
Resumen: The head is nice and fluid. very sturdy. the quick release works well. looks professional. Some plastic parts that may be prone to breaking. there is no telescoping head for easier fine tuning hight.
A favor: Easily Adjusted, Good Footing, Locks In Tight, Smooth Movement
Resumen: I loved the tripod up until one of the cam-lock flip-clips broke. Sony says I can't purchase the clip only. I have to purchase the entire leg for $129.00. I could probably purchase a better leg set and move the head and remote control to it for barely more than just a replacement leg.I wanted a lighter weight tripod to use with my B-camera and for when I travel.
