Canon Powershot A720 IS
8 Agosto 2014
Conclusión: The Canon Powershot A720 IS offers excellent value for money. It is hard to match the picture quality cameras in this series are capable of producing. You also have a good selection of controls and settings. The viewfinder and the longer than standard lens all make this camera worth a closer look. Recommended.
A favor: Picture quality - viewfinder - value for money - red eye correction tool
Resumen: The Canon PowerShot A720 IS is the flagship of the series A and has, in fact, interesting technical features, such as the 8 MP sensor, the optical stabilizer, optical zoom, Face Detection, various scene modes and a handle worthy of an SLR. Very little is known, for a change, the memory, so even in this case, better to buy an external card otherwise you will not be able to save practically nothing.
A favor: Sensor, Optical Zoom, Safety Zoom, Face Detection
Resumen: Another home run for Canon, while the PowerShot A720 IS isn't perfect it is pretty close and it's combination of sharp, vibrant pictures, speedy operation and manual shooting modes is sure to please a variety of consumers.
A favor: Sharp pictures, great colour, fast operation, manual features
Contras: Some haloing and chromatic aberration, shots noisy at higher ISO levels
Resumen: Canon recently added two models with 6x optical zoom to the top of its vast and successful 'A' series, PowerShot A650 IS and its younger sibling, the PowerShot A720 IS. The Canon PowerShot A720 IS is priced at £179.
Conclusión: The A720 IS comes from a long line of successful cameras and, while it is hardly the most exciting upgrade we've ever seen, it does nothing to detract from a popular and successful recipe. And this makes it quite hard not to damn the thing with faint praise because it's hard to say anything about the A720 IS beyond the fact that it's a really good little camera. Finding fault with it is a pretty awkward task.
A favor: Surprisingly good image quality (at lower ISO settings), Accurate metering in the majority of situations, Long lens with surprisingly good edge-to-edge performance, Handy macro performance at wide end of lens, Bright, clear screen, Very simple user interface, Good battery life out of NiMH AA batteries, Feels fast and responsive in use, Fairly subtle noise reduction in ISO 100-400 region, Direct print button can be customized into something useful, Comprehensive range ...
Contras: Occasional tendency to ignore (and overexpose) bright regions, Usual issues above ISO 400 due to noise and noise reduction, Low resolution screen, Rather cheap feeling plastics, Plastic tripod mount mounted on far corner of body, Battery life and flash recycle times far from class-leading (thanks to two AA cells)
