Micralite Toro: Diferente, superpráctica, superligera

Quirin, Ciao
13 Septiembre 2010
  • A favor: Ligereza, Maniobrabilidad, Plegado
  • Contras: Ajuste manillar

  • Resumen: As an expecting father I spent many hours on forums looking to find the perfect first car for my daughter. The Toro is fantastic value for money, well built and somewhat unique compared to all the other Mama's and Papas stocked strollers in our local park. After evaluating the competition in the £300-350 mark this came out on top. Although it doesn't close with one hand, the mechanism is very fluid and it rolls on its wheel after folding.

" I love this pram! I have had it since DD…"

painfullyhonest, Mumsnet
28 Enero 2011
  • Extracto: I love this pram! I have had it since DD was born and we are still using it now she is almost 2.6yo. It handles well, the big back wheels help it to cope with bumpy ground (I just push the buggy tipped back on the back wheels when I hit a bumpy bit) and the only repairs I've had to do in all this time are to get the wheels pumped up twice and one punctured inner replaced. It has stayed quite clean, it fits a fleece liner, it is comfortable and warm for DD.

Not snug enough

slimriggle, Amazon

  • Resumen: This footmuff is very stiff, and not very snug. I don't think it would be very warm when the cold really sets in. You would have to put a blanket on them as well inside this footmuff. I wouldn't recommend it. I sent this one back and went for a buggysnuggle instead - much better!

Every time I think of treating no 2 child to a new buggy I remember exactly why we love the Micralite!

Babs Emmans, Made for Mums
30 Septiembre 2010
  • Resumen: Got Micralite for no 1 in 2007 when he was 1 1/2 & loved it from the start, despite the rubbish rain covers! We live up lots of steps & it is so light & easy to bump up the steps. Ours has a very high mileage (we walk everywhere) yet is still going strong even after several beach & skiing holidays. We got the carrycot gor no 2 & buggyboard for no 1, and they're happy all round.
  • A favor: Light to push, get in & out of car & up stairs, does a handy kind of 1/2 fold to save space in cupboard, easy to push with 1 hand, seat seems v comfy, everything washable, looks great, narrow back wheels mean easy to get through narrow gaps if you tip it up, folds flat if you pop the wheels off, smallish shopping basket discourages carrying loads of junk around. Brakes v good & easy to use. Special Micralite buggy lboard & handlebar extensions. MUCH cheaper than a Bug...
  • Contras: After the baby's out of the carrycot they have to face forward. We went through countless raincovers as every time we zipped one on, it ripped along the seam. Nowhere to attach parasol when footmuff thingy is on. When you have the apron on the carrycot you can only see the top of the baby's head

  • Resumen: The sun and bug net is brilliant. It just zips on to the hood, in the same way as the rain cover, and keeps all the sun out. An excellent way of getting day time sleeps in the sun!

Absolutely brilliant! I love it so much, I bought two!

  • Resumen: I can't believe the other reviews are talking about the same pushchair, so I'll address what they've said first. Getting it up pavements is a doddle as the pushchair is so light and manouverable- I didn't even know that the bar at the bottom was for that purpose. I have carpal tunnel syndrome and despite this have never had a problem getting this up a kerb using the handles!
  • A favor: Easy to fold and unfold, light, stylish, comfortable, stable, fantastic accessories, very durable, amazing to steer- even one handed.
  • Contras: None!
